I think the OP is thinking of the way WT pushed radium as a beneficial health product, back in JFR's days. One quote I found:-
As we know Radium is an extremely harmful radioactive substance. The “Radio-Solar Pad” was basically a pad containing radioactive radium which you simply strapped to your back. Its makers claimed
"radio-activity is further increased by exposing the pad to sunlight" and "when applied to the body, the pad immediately begins to discharge this energy into the system, sending the life giving current through the blood and nervous system."
As this was endorsed by the President of the Watchtower, Judge Rutherford, it can only be assumed that he would have received some kind of personal payment.

JFR was prone to jump on all manner of quack science and write about it. The "Water Canopy" is another example, from Isaac Newton Vale, another quack.

recent court documents show that members of the jehovah’s witnesses governing body — including former member tony morris — have been officially subpoenaed to give sworn testimony regarding cases of sexual abuse in new york and how the organization dealt with (or essentially hid) them.

I doubt the GB will end up in prison. Any possibility of that and they would move en masse to Buenos Aries and rule from there. I'm sure preparations and funds have been in place ever since they had the new Bethel built there.

This is a great thread. The majority of our congregation were not even born in 1975!
I well remember 1st January 1976, my wife and I had a walk around the garden after breakfast, not sure what we were expecting but of course nothing had changed. We did what what always did on a Bank Holiday, drove to the KH and went on FS. Nobody was interested then as always and ever since. We should have walked on that day!

Bible Reading Schedule, Dumbed Down?

has any body noticed that the bible reading schedule has been reduced to one chapter per week.

does any one know if this is a policy change or something temporary?

at this rate the complete cycle will take 22 years plus..

Yes it is being dumbed down like everything else WT connected.
My page marker is for 2016 Bible reading schedule. It shows:-
- Oct 3: Proverbs 1-6
- Oct 10: Proverbs 7-11
- Oct 17: Proverbs 12-16
- Oct 24: Proverbs 17-21
- Oct 31: Proverbs 22-26
- Nov 7 Proverbs 27-31
So it just shows though I suspect they will say you can now dig deeper

there have been instances such as 2019 when "politicians" such as keir starmer, theresa may and sadiq khan have waved their flag on the 23rd in error.

Memorial talk the SAME EVERY YEAR no anointed??

yeah so got invited this year and just thought what a waste of my time no one partakes in the wine or bread the talk has been the same for 20 years i would rather stay home.

I would disagree with your assessment that the talk has been the same for 20 years. I cannot say when it changed but not so many years ago. We no longer hear anything about the Exodus, Passover or the New Moon. Even the Memorial song has changed.
It's all about the First Century and Jesus New Covenant now. Why is this? Probably realised they do not celebrate it on the correct day.
Any ideas?
